Efficient win for Halep. She has a great game. Bouchard is not getting the message probably because Saviano is chanting the same dumb mantra. Bouchard needs to make adjustments depending on her opponent.

Well I am off to a great start so far at the YEC,both of my selections were correct

Simona was in complete control of her match against Bouchard,Bouchard to me made too many ufe,still I am certain that Bouchard will address those issues in her next match.

In regards to Serena v Ana....Onwards Serena.

So far Halep is in front as she got it done in fewer games than Serena. Though I am certain this will probably change soon.

I am sure there will be upsets here, this is WTA after-all... it didn't happen on day 1 but I am sure it'll happen and I don't mean just Serena, in general speaking terms.

In the second RR match, they pit winners against winners and losers against losers.

So, Serena's second match will be against Halep. Genie will play Ana in the second
match (eye candy alert).

They schedule it this way, to make sure that the third round of RR matches could
potentially have have some possible role in deciding who makes it to SF. In this
way of scheduling two different players cannot have two wins after the first
two rounds of RR matches. This is a standard practice, I believe.

Well hopefully, Serena comes out swinging and takes Simona out. The funny thing is Simona has been pretty open about feeling like she can't beat Serena so...

One of the main issues I have with Halep,I feel she isnt mentally tough enough,I think we saw that in recent matches with Maria,she had her chances,though she could not convert them
In my mind what separates the good players to the Champion players,the Champion players under pressure always play the Big Points well in a match under pressure.Another point is,even when they are not playing their best,they still can win,even if it is ugly.
