Another retirement in the s/finals,Bencic said the courts are too slow?

This is the end of the year tournament most of the players are carrying niggling injuries,maybe that is the reason so many of the players,Osaka,Andreescu,Kiki Bertens and Bencic had to retire in this tournament,I really don't think you can blame the surface of the court quite frankly.

I have been impressed by defending champion Svitolina so far in this tournament,living in Sydney I am thrilled that Ash has made the final her match against Kvitova was a standout,she has never beaten Elina,though there is a first time for everything,hoping for a competitive match.Good luck to both players.

Ash Barty is the first player in the 44 year history of the WTA rankings to become the year-end world No1 after finishing the previous season outside the top 10.Ash rose from a 2019 year end ranking of No15 to finish at No1.
