apparently its being reported that her pick for the appeal is an African...is she trying to bribe this judge...if she does that then she should get the full sentence of 4yrs.

Jon Wethiem on Meldopova . Provides further clarity in understanding the verdict for casual followers (readers of this thread do not need it), but supports her induction to HOF.

That is so ridiculous. Why? Have they ever sent this out in regards to other players? Total bull.

I guess it's really to try and minimize the publicity as best they can... I kind of get why they've done it... It's probably more to do with protecting the sport than Sharapova.

Maria Sharapova has filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport seeking to annul or reduce her two-year suspension for a failed drug test at the Australian Open in January. The parties have agreed to an expedited track for the case, which will allow CAS to issue its decision no later than July 18th, 2016.

Yes, but Tennis Fan is right. They aren't attempting to muzzle players to protect the "sport," they're attempting to silence them to protect the "brand." And to keep everyone in line while they sort out where the bodies are buried. That is an insult to clean players who would like to speak out for, in fact, the sport, and for themselves. The WTA is not helping themselves with this.

That's a good point. They need to do whatever they need to do though, because it is a blemish on the sport and it needs to be taken care of immediately, if not sooner.

Private, the porn makers, should do a porno parody:

Maria Shagapova in, I Got Balls, or, How I Screwed Tennis.

Maria Shagapova has failed a drug test for an SED, a sexually enhancing drug, and gives a press conference to confess, but a journalist interrupts her explanation...

Journalist: I don't care about that. I just want to f**k you, here and now.
Shagapova: I can't have sex here, on a fairly ugly carpet. I do have some standards, you know...

She has all airs and graces like she is something special like she is the queen, like she is superior, but if she comes back, she can't act like that anymore coz people will well boo her, and then her shrieking, it might be less without the dope, or the other players will start to complain to the umpire, and what can she do then, hold her chest and say she feels sick, people won't believe her.

The doper and her lawyer should just shut their mouths. This is not the way to garner sympathy from fans. All that money and she hires Haggarty and Eisenbud, both of whom have not given her good advice. Her stupidity is teaching incredible heights. She should get four years for allowing her lawyer to making such dumb comments.

Well the WADA chief needs to shut the eff up. His statement isn't very professional. I don't even like Sharapova, but if he causes any issues that could lessen her sentence I'm gonna be pissed. Shut the fcuk up dude!

But WADA pres made a mistake coz it sounded like it was personal, like they was out to get her, and they should be impartial, like they went to get her coz she broke the rules, not coz of who she is.

Anyway, a man on the tv said that Sharapova's absence would be the elephant in the room at Wimbledon, but surely she must be the giraffe in the room coz she don't look like an elephant, she is well tall like the giraffe.

A giant shouldered mongo with a pizza face. Probably even more so now as she guzzles her Meldonium sweets to drown her sorrows.

I don't know why it would be the elephant in the room she hasn't done much winning since her lone win in 2004. Were we expecting her to do anything even if she was playing? I am sure Serena misses her favorite punching bag though.

She's a arrogant bitch and she should do her time and shut up instead of drawing all this attention to her cheating and drug trafficking. In her press conference she talks about taking whatever punishment is given to her and yet here she is claiming she got to much time when in actually she really should have gotten the maximum which is four years. That is why I cannot stand her because she thinks she's entitle because she's white. And they better not reduce that ban.
