Way too many awful Roddick headless chicken approaches from Roger so far.

I don't agree w/ that. He's got to keep coming in. Not every attempt will be perfect, but if he does it enough he'll draw an error or a wayward passing shot. You know he can't live w/ Novak on the baseline.

Come in by all means but not on awful approaches. Last point there was a perfect example of a bad one.

There's a glowing example of a truly rotten approach.

Roger is doing just fine for himself from the baseline. Most of these approaches have just been bad. On this surface he can avoid the long rallies even without coming in too early.

Yet more bafflingly stupid volleying. Why not hit it the other way? :nono

Nicely done but gotta stop hitting volleys right back timidly at opponents. Hit it into the open court ffs.

Roger is hitting great from the backcourt, I know a big part of the plan is to come in a lot but he could pick his spots better. Great serving again, he needs the free points vs. Nole. Everyone does.
