i'll tell you one thing, though - if Fed actually wants to make the finals, it's better for him to face Rafa in the QF than in the SF. all about the optimism, no? ;)

Pretty obvious the biggest loser in the draw is Fed.

Nadal would have preferred this QF matchup over drawing Djokovic/Murray so this isn't a horrible draw for his seeding.

how about Youzhny for a fourth round against Murray? his section looks manageable, i'd love to see him take out Tipsy. Tsonga v Benneteau could be a fun third round matchup to watch, if Julien's fit again.

Reddy, I would call the entire bottom half the loser of the draw. Keep in mind that just one out of Federer, Nadal, Murray and Tsonga will make it into the finals. That's brutal. In another world these 4 alone could easily have occupied all the semifinals spots and it would have been a fantastic set of semis. Plus there is Wawrinka, Cilic, Youzhny, Jerzy, Isner etc. with them. That's easily the toughest half of a draw I've seen in a long time.

That's not to say the upper half is crap, of course not but it's massively unbalanced. Obviously that's not Nole's fault who still has to go out, do his job and take care of Flo Mayer, Haas, Gasquet/Berdych and Ferrer/Delpo. Anyway, can't wait. As johnsteinbeck already mentioned, some mouthwatering 1st round matches. Hewitt-Stan is going to be a cracker.

While Nole fans can't complain this time around, he has some guys in his qurter he lost to before at Wimby: Haas as a potential 4th round and Berdych a potential QF. plus his opener is not the easiest as Florian Mayer was a QF last year.

I think he will be glad to focus on Mayer and Haas in earlier rounds now when he knows no other big 4 before finale. No1e has quality opponents in his half with Hass, Berdych, Ferrer/Delpo, just none of them should really hurt him.

Agreed john, the less worn out the grass is by the time they face each other, the better it is for Roger. Fingers crossed, here's hope he can finally overcome his trauma with Nadal. Nothing against Rafa but a win over him at Wimbledon would mean so much to Roger and his legacy.

By the way Mastoor, what have you done? You created a monster, another Frankenstein. I just knew you had your fingers in the pie...I mean draw. Is the picture of Djokovic in your avatar his reaction to the draw? :D

While i am not afraid of Nole losing to a Mayer, I specifically do not like Haas in his draw. That could be his most difficult match before the potential final.

Djoko has an easy path to the final.
Federer,Murray and Nadal has to worry on the other side.

He'll be alright.
