She was really great! I didn’t know even half of that. I feel we’re all lucky to have had her in our lives…

Thanks for posting that @britbox it's a lovely thing her friends and family put together.
It's funny, I've gone back through all the private messages Susan and I exchanged over the years. I can't tell you how many times I've re-read the particular message she sent me regarding her diagnosis. At that time she had already been dealing with it for a year. We talked about cancer and I told her hopefully positive stories about people close to me who have in recent years been able to beat the odds.
There are people I've known in real life, who've passed away and it's hit me less hard than this. At first I thought that was odd, but going back, reading the exchanges Susan and I had over the years, about politics, about life... I've come to realise that it's perfectly natural that it was as emotionally impactful. How many people do you meet in real life where you actually share meaningful information about yourself? You really only do that with people who are more than just acquaintances. So when I look back now, I recognise and embrace it, I am touched by it, in a way, that those of us born in the analogue era sometimes hesitate to do.
As @Kieran noted, we were indeed lucky to have her in our lives.

Thanks for that, BB. Just left my contribution there. I am glad I was able to say to her some of the things I wrote now, but we always feel we left something on the table. And now it is too late.

It's been an eon since I've been on here (it's a great place, but life intervenes), and I just wanted to join the chorus to say what a loss this is. I still remember a charitable, decent and funny sparring partner when debating our favs, Nole verse Rafa. I'm now wishing I found some time to jump back on here and discuss tennis with some truly great folks like Moxie. RIP.

You know I wanted to see this film and I went onto the Movie post and was going to ask Moxie/Susan for her opinion, we often discussed movies together apart from tennis and I realized she was no longer with us, had tears in my eyes. I miss her dearly
I’ve been away traveling and had no idea until Britbox let me know.
It seems almost surreal that she’s gone, I always had planned to meet her someday during the USO when I got back to visit NY and now I so regret it never happened.
Never forgot when my wife’s and my mom passed away within a few days of each other a few years back how she reached out privately to offer her condolences. She gave me travel advice on Italy as she truly had that as a passion.
I’ve never been impressed by someone’s financial stature, their celebrity, career prestige, etc.
The one thing that impresses me is someone who possess a keen, insightful mind/thinker. I don’t have to agree with them but simply knowing through discourse where we might disagree & having an exchange of ideas is such a joy.
Moxie you impressed me with your mind.
You will be missed.
