It has been a day with a couple of surprises and thrilling matches
The Jelena Jankovic vs Na Li 76, 75. Wow it took Jelena some time to close the deal. All the bundled up nerves! She however managed in the end. Na was way out of form. All the fricking errors!! Will she be better at the French Open?
Then the Simone Halep vs Roberta Vinci 64, 62. Great tennis from Simone. I loved it and it's incomprehensible that she only is ranked #64. She should at least be somewhere in the 20s level
Also the Sam Stosur vs Petra Kvitova 75, 26, 61. I dunno what the matter is with Kvitova and why so many are expecting so much from her. Yes maybe she has heaps of talent and skills but it takes more then an inspiring match once in a blue moon. She hasn't the winner instinct and she can't fight when things do not go her way. It's such a pity because I really like Petra. She has a lovely personality

The 4 top seeds Serena, Victoria (A. Morita withdrew due to an injury), Sara (Maria K. withdrew due to an injury) and Maria S. marched on and are en route to the final. I assume the Maria S vs Victoria semifinal will determine which of the 2 will make it there providing that both make it to the semis of course. Serena seems invincible at the moment and if it is Maria S. who reaches the final then I fear that we'll see something similar as the Madrid final

Well hopefully this is the year for Serena. Everything seems to be falling into place in terms of her game. I like her measured words this year.

There are far too many issues with Sloane. One thing I notice in particular, Sloane keeps her mouth shut when Azranka or Sharapova yells " come on" but have a hissy fit(for lack of a better word ..its early dude and my java hasnt quite sunk in) when Serena does it. For obvious reasons that is being a bit bias against one player but hear no evil against others, Why..

lol....did you hear that pova mouthed...She made you....to Sloane during a changeover according to @tennisreporters.I will never embrace Sloane because she is bitter.Laura Robson was asked about Serena after the 2nd rd and she said Serena is very friendly with a lot of players and is popular in the locker room.I think Sloane is jealous that she will never elicit this from her contemporaries...what is there to respect about Sloane...big mouth,jealousy ,pettiness,inferiority complex and passivity...I think I will invest in the youngsters like Taylor Townsend,Madison Keys and Muguruza..
