Serena has a pretty loaded quarter, but Vika lands on the Maria side of things with Li and Kerber on the Serena side of things. A potential Kvitova vs. Vika match up should it happen!

Well, she should at least be able to win her first round match Jovanovski. One of our Caro friends says that Jovanovski is on an eight match losing streak. Not that Caro is doing much better with a 1- 4 record for her last five matches.

Some updates here.
Stosur had no issues and won in straights.
Sabine breezed through 1-2
Sorana went down in straight sets to Morita.
Oudin outdid Makarova in 3 sets.

I love Vee but I think she should skip all clay events and focus on grass....

Agreed.. Venus needs play every grass court tuneup available, serve and volley 40-45 % of the time and she can may make it to the 2nd week.. if not, she will be Serena's extra practice partner for the rest of the summer

What an amazing tennis match between Bojana Jovanovski against Carolina Wozniacki and what a great performance Bojana made. Down and out several times but she fought her way back in and finally stood there as the winner in the end 26, 64, 76. The TV commentator said several times that Caroline would take it and his money was on her but in the end he too had to surrender.
What a fighter!!! What a match!!!!
