That sucks for Errani that she is injured.

I agree. It's really marred this match since Sara can't track down any shots.

On top of it, Errani is supposed to be in the doubles final, too.

If anyone thought that Serena was trying to be nice, she'd have given that point to Errani with the lob, but instead, she passed her mercilessly. ;)

That's unfortunate. Maybe Roberta will do all the running and Sara can just hit dropshots.

Well, I feel bad for her because she has semi points to defend at the French, and this isn't the time you want an injury to arise right before a slam.

Well, this is really disappointing for Sara. I figured Serena would knock her out pretty big-time, but it's a shame not to be able to fight for it.

Well, Serena has title number 60 and number 11 on clay putting her ahead of everyone for active WTA player with the most clay titles. Hopefully, we can make it 61 and number 12 with another Roland Garros title. I have a feeling that nerves will creep in for the first round as defending champion, so I am hoping Serena doesn't draw a French woman the first round that might get the crowd involved.

Alright…not bad Italian from Serena! Where'd she whip that out from? Very nice. A little heartbreaking from Sara. Hope she can make it through the doubles and still have something for Paris.

Serena is in an interesting position 8 away from moving past BJK in number of singles titles and 9 away from Goolagong. Also, she is 2 titles away from at least matching who many feel was the best clay courter in her era Justine Henin. It would be nice to see Serena earn a third French Open to really round out her career. She can at least move past Navratilova and Evert and say she won a career slam three times.

In the end, Errani had to retire from the doubles at 0-4 in the first set. Not a good day for the Italian fans. I too hope that Errani will be OK for RG, fashionista.

I'm going to score the challenge now. Stay tuned!
