Goffin is listed at 5'll/155lbs. That makes him similar to Gilles Simon. Not short, but slight. Ferrer is 5'7", but listed at 160lbs. Stockier. These guys aren't THAT small. (OK, though Rochus is, but think what he's done with it!) What they lack in size, they have to make up in guile, game and fitness. I think Goffin has enough game to match them, if he has the commitment.

Ferrer is 5'9 I think

Sorry, you're right.  I'M 5'7", which I use as a measure. While it may seem funny to mention it, I ran into David Ferrer in Buenos Aires. We were staying at the same hotel. And a tennis fan-friend asked if he was really small. He's not at all small...he's a normal sized guy. Taller than me, though not of especially imposing build. But it is funny that we speak of some of these male players as being "diminutive." Except for Olivier Rochus, they're only small, by comparison to the rest of us humans.

RE: Roland Garros Order Of Play - Day 3

Feel like Oliver has been dismissed by many, and i think he is a great player who obviously was limited because of his height. In terms of talent, Fed said Oliver was always better than him when they were both small... then all of a sudden Fed grew an extra foot while Oliver stayed, Roger owned him since then. For a guy to be 5"3' and play top 50 on ATP, he's got to be supremely talented with super movement (pretty hard to go as fast with shorter legs), tennis intelligence (he's got a big head on his shoulder which must have something), and fantastic ball-striking (he needs to hit many above-shoulder balls which others hit at waist level, much harder!!). I think he would be amazing if he was anything close to 6" tall.
