Ladies Singles Final,

Iga Swiatek (1) vs Karolina Muchova ( unseeded player)

Iga is now 25-2 at the Grand Slams since becoming the World No 1, her 225th win, a gutsy 62 76(6) over Beatrix Haddad Maia in the SFs, made her way into her 3rd Roland Garros final. and she is ensured she will leave Paris with her No 1 ranking.
Iga is now the youngest women to reach 3 French Open Finals since Monica Seles 1990-1992, only Chris Evert has made more than 3 RG finals in her first 5 appearances in the Open Era. Iga is also the youngest to make 9 clay court finals since Martina Hingis in 1999. Iga has not lost a set during this fortnight to make the final.
Muchova did defeat Iga on clay, that was when Iga ranked 96 at the time.was a rookie on the tour. I don't read too much into that result. Both Swiatek and Muchova are different players four years on.Tennis players live in the present, right now Iga is No1 and title favorite for a reason.

Muchova has been a player I have always loved to watch, injuries sad to day have sidelined her career, for amounts of time, halted her ranking, a doctor once told Muchova she may never play tennis again, that did not deter Muchova playing the game she loved.
Muchova possesses the rare clutch gene.Five times she's faced a player ranked in the Top 3 and five times she's won.
Muchova has the variety and all court tennis to keep Swiatek off balance, the question is, can she keep this up all match.
Muchova is the first player this year to defeat Sabalenka at a major this year, no mean feat.
Can Muchova defeat the World No 1 player Iga, at Roland Garros, a surface that Iga clearly revels in.

We as tennis fans I feel will be treated to a competitive match, good luck to both players, they both deserve to be in the final.

Margaret, did Muchova have a deep run at Wimbledon sometime before Pandemic? SF?

This is just wonderful tennis from Muchova, she is pushing Iga off the baseline, also being aggressive and coming to the net and putting the volley away cross court
Iga finally holds 4-1

Muchova better wake up or this will be over in about half an hour. Pitty that Sabalenka dumped that 5:2 lead in a 3rd, she would make Iga work harder here. Boring final so far, Coco put up a better fight against Iga than Muchova.

Iga's depth and weight has been a problem for Muchova, Iga is soo tough on this surface, Muchova has to play with a little more controlled aggression
