Sloane will have to play the match of her life to defeat that beast of a Russian warrior. The 4 time may be the charm. I would say keeping the ball in the center of the court may help Sloane.. maybe one of y'all can recall some of their previous 3 encounters? If so how did those matches play out
Their matches have all gone 3 sets, Sloane I feel is the better clay court player, agree she will have to be at her best to defeat Saba, is is the 1st time Saba has gone past the 3rd rd at RG, Saba has to watch her margins in the match, or she could be in trouble

High drama in a womens doubles match round 3,
Kato/Sutjadi were just defaulted from their doubles match after Kato accidently hit a ball girl 6-7 (1) 3-1
Sara Sorribes/Bouzkova wins by default and walk over in 24 hours

Pavlyuchenkova broken serving for the match 5-2, she has turned this match around, Mertens did get treatment on her back, 0-3 in the 3rd set
Pavs breaks straight back and wins the match 36 76(3) 63 over Elise Mertens (28) seed and is the first woman through to the QFS
Pavs Power! well done Pavs!

It was an accident and not done in malice or anger. In fact she was giving the ball back to the ball girl when it struck her face. The umpire had just given her a warning when SST/Bouzkova asked for the supervisor so it could be escalated to DQ. He comes out and does just that. He is following the rules in the strictest sense. I'm not saying the team shouldn't have been DQ, but I don't like the opposing team inserting their influence to sway the outcome their way. Let the officials sort it out and render a decision. That's bad form and a yellow card on SST/Bouzkova.

I saw the replay though the the other team pushed for the rule to be enforced and the main umpire enforced it

She still won't be able to. I think she has to be in the top 100 within 6 weeks of the start of the slam to be included in the draw. Now her position could move around within that 6 weeks if her results are good and move her up.
Correct her current ranking is 96, she does have to be in the top 100 within 6 weeks of a slam to be included

Elina Svitolina wins a tight first set 64 over Daria Kasatkina (9)
Elina is serving for the match 5-4
Back on serve in the 2nd set, Daria broke Elina, this has been a tight match, 5 games all
Elina breaks again and for the 2nd time will try to serve out the match 6-5
Daria just wont go away she breaks and we are going to a TB for the 2nd set
