Oh how the mighty have fallen. Mugu is a former RG champ and was relegated to Simon-Mathieu.

Well Kanepi aka The Giant Killer has she has been called strikes again and as I thought she defeats Mugu 62 36 46.
Honestly I do not know what the answer is for Mugu going forward?

My 2nd favorite player to win Roland Garos has been knocked out in the first round? Hells Bells
M.Linette has defeated Ons Jabeur 36 76(4) 75????.......I will have to watch the match on replay as I just have got home from work
This is Linette's first time she has defeated a 10 ten player btw.

I haven’t watched any tennis today, but Ons might have peaked in the warm ups and ran out of gas for this event

I think you may be correct, to me she was running on empty in her last couple of matches in Rome, which affected her performance in the final against Iga

So disappointed Jabour is out. She’s one of the very few WTA players I watch.

That and Muguruza ruined my day, not to mention my draw. Really bummed.

One of the matches to see on day 2 is Osaka v Anisimova.
Amanda has had a solid clay season to date and Osaka has an achilles problem
Amanda has defeated Osaka this year, even though Osaka probably has more heavier ground strokes which can be an advantage on clay.I will not be surprised if Anisimova gets the win.
Bianca Andreescu should have no trouble in her first match against Q Bonaventure, Bianca has a good game on the clay, she has said it is her favorite surface.
Interested to see if Angie Kerber can keep up the solid form she showed by winning the Strasbourg tournament, first clay title since 2016, her first title this year.
Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova plays her first match, coming back to the tour after a lengthy time away with a elbow issue
The No 1 player Iga Swiatek also plays her first match, though she should have no trouble.

I missed it, but did Osaka demand she be given the microphone and admonish the crowd after the loss?

Let's be frank here, Naomi has a head problem first.
