They did stop it. They held them on court, but right now it looks like it's stopping so they will resume play right now.

JW gets the early break in the 2nd. This could be over quickly unless Tomas picks it up

Gabashvili's constantly looking up at the sky in disgust and I don't blame him. Terrible conditions to be playing in and they suit a guy like Nishikori down to the ground as he takes the ball so early his shots are skidding through the court. It's like that 3rd set in the RG 2012 final between Nadal and Djokovic. The conditions favoured Djokovic greatly and were terrible for Nadal's game.

Sometimes the game changes set by set but right now it seems that Tsonga and Nishi right are in their right way to win

I like Nishikori but this match is way more one sided than it should be due to the crap wet courts. Gabashvili can trouble anyone on a good day without these conditions.

Jesus, Berdych looks positively outclassed. Nothing like a World #5.

Gabashvilli wouldn't have stood a chance anyways. Surprised people were expecting something from him in this match. The guy plays challengers for a living for the past 10 years, he's not going to beat a top 10 player all of a sudden.

Was that Canas nodding in approval to Gabashvili there?

Edit: yes it was, didn't realize he was his coach.

Totally disagree. Check the result against Nadal in US Open 2010. Sure, he didn't win a set but he played him very tough. He beat Ferrer in Barcelona last year pretty easily too.

He hasn't played in almost 5 days, he was probably salivating today. :p
