If Bellucci can bring the game he brought to play Djokovic, he has a shot at Nishikori. Hoping this is a good one.

The other I'd like to see is Lajovic v. Wawrinka. Stan may hit him off the court, but I think this kid has some talent.

Fed gets relegated to Lenglen, while Maria is the only slam champ on Chatrier.

Lenglen is the place to be tomorrow: Federer, Stosur, Halep, Tsonga.

well, they often have that *one* match on Lenglen for each of the top seeds, so they're maybe just getting that out of the way?
still, the slightly nationalist preferences are a tad annoying. neither Monfils / Schwartzman nor Navarro/Razzano are really centre court material (that said, the day's whole schedule is actually kind of lacking in real blockbusters, so might as well put them on Chatrier).

I wonder how the security is on Lenglen? :dodgy: #Fedselfie

I got so much flak for mentioning this yesterday. Rafa was playing someone who has never played
(I am not talking about winning here) a match at any of the grand slams and who is ranked about 300. Surely, they would have scheduled it Lenglen to get that *one* match out of the way for Rafa, if not for the fact that Quentin is a French dude.

Lenglen has always been a faster court so most playing there tomorrow should be happy if their games revolve around aggressive play.

I guess Nishikori wins 3x1, with one easy set at least. Bellucci will bring his A game in one set for sure, but for the whole match is highly unlikely. I like both of them anyway.

Having said this, Bellucci's most consistent matches to date were exactly against big guns, and as Nishikori is getting close to this territory, who knows...

Anyway, the brazilian I want to root for is Bernardes. I hope he and Nadal get to fight. I am sure his old school heavy weight style would put the spaniard on the ground by round 4.

I might get up at 5 to see Stan destroy my boy Dutzee....and then be moody at work the whole day.:snicker

If Bellucci is on...which he might be, he has played very well lately, be careful Kei....all I'm saying.

I think we have the same view on both matches. It could be fun or a couple of train wrecks.

Don't start with the same topic, that thread was already closed or I would show you who else was dessapointed with Bernades and he would be again, you never know......

Well, this is going to be a consistent pattern on the first day of each round.
This is because on the first day, the two bottom halves go into action, whereas on
the second day, the top halves go into action and the draw is top heavy in terms
of star power. There are not many big stars (not to be confused with good players)
in the bottom halves except Roger and Maria.

The top half has Rafa, Andy, Novak as well as Serena, Venus (had), Caro, Azrenka, Kvitova.

Next Wednesday.

Thanks tented. Highly likely we will see that match, and don't want to miss it myself.
