I expect Genie to go back into the bottle. Kristina has the potential to eliminate Genie.
Also, the crowd will be for Kristina.

I mean it is P3tra but still. Erakovic is not an easy first round opponent to draw.

True. I was a bit worried about this one to be honest. Glad to see she got through. :clap

Looks like the sun is setting on Jankovic's carrer. Start set loss to Sesil.

I was wondering if we might get a retirement announcement if Skeevy Wonder lost her opening match against Qiang Wang, but looks like Franny survives for another round.

Bouchard is out! KM gathered herself in the nick of time. Losing four games in a row like that could have easily pushed the match to three sets, which would have given Bouchard enough momentum to win.

If Kerber wins one more match, and Pliskova the Greater wins two, Genie will be out of the Top 10 in the post-RG rankings, I believe.

Anyone know what Bouchard's ranking will be now?

It seems her fall is really complete... Before she was still showing up for slams. She didn't have anything at all today. If I were Sam I would jump ship.

He went from turning vika into a slam champ to being Genie's babysitter.

They were saying she will drop to 9 at best, but Moose is right, it all depends on how a few others do this tourney.

Not sure I like this color combo for Serena's outfit. As soon as I get a pic, I'll post it in the other thread.

Who's the men's 6 seed, Nadal? You'll be hoping w/ baited breath. This is his main tournament of the year, I can't imagine he'd go anywhere until he faces Novak. :nono

Sigh... JJ may need to consider moving towards retirement. I hope she has some good savings.
