Yeah, it's exciting to have a brand new winner. Anyone have the history on the last time a French woman won the French Open. Nice story if Mladenovic perseveres. :)

I also like how Caro is stepping into her shots with aggression, so I wouldn't mind if she takes it all the way as well.:)

I'm hoping Caro pulls it off, but got doubts about her getting over the line.

I thought Garbine was slowly improving during RG, not quickly enough though.

Apparently, she had to be escorted out of the interview room in tears.
I saw that, watching with our buddy in a Mexican restaurant. Well, good...she should be that upset. Hopefully that motivates her to go to the next level.

I saw Mugu vs Pliskova live at Indian Wells. I wasn't impressed with Mugu. I became a believer in Pliskova after seeing her hit. She will win a major in the next 12 months.

I saw Mugu live at the USO and I was impressed with her. Aside from the post RG-sink, I think she has loads of up-side. I also like Pliskova. This RG is already guaranteed a new Slam winner. With Serena on maternity leave, I think there is a lot of opportunity in the women's game in the next 8 months. Let's see how they start to shake it out.

If you're not a seasoned vet, you can't be terrible for a year and then waltz into your fave tourney and think you can turn it on like that. That's why I knew she would play some 3-setters. No one in the locker room is afraid of her and I knew she would likely struggle to find her best during crunch time.

Simona looked really good today, taking out Saurez-Navarro.

Loving the drama and unpredictability of the women's draw.
I don't mind who takes the title. Anyone..... except Wozniacki .

Some shot by Garcia to win that match over Cornet. She looked good today.

I predict Garcia loses in the next round. She is too much of a choker to go further. Did anyone see her try to serve out the match? Cornet has to donate the last game because there was no way Garcia could take it.

I predicted Ostapenko would be top twenty this year when she was ranked 100. She has a big game. Junior Wimby winner three years ago.
Ostapenko may win the title..she hits a clean ball and goes for her shots.. Her match with Tima may be a classic

Your prediction was on point.. Martina says she will be winning the majority of her matches in the neat future
