If you just go by the numbers, probably Banshee. Lil Bit is still young. You have to remember DC played college ball first
TRUE. I guess I am just referring to the body of work the past 3 years to have a fair contrast for comparison for Leylah

I also have to agree with Keli The Banshee, just read she has hired a new coach Jared Jacobs, she said she usually travels the tour without a coach, but credits him for his game plans, data etc.

Bencic had a MTO she rolled her ankle, though she seems okay now up 3-0 in the 3rd set against Petra

Scream-a-lenka gone. That serve is still an issue. It's telling that every time she has an opportunity to overtake Iga, she fails miserably.
Agree, she had a good chance of being No 1 if she won this tournament, though props to Luidmila she really took her game to Saba and this is her first WTA1000 QF

Petra's movement was hampered in the 3rd set, ( right leg) though Bencic was too good today and won in 3 sets 67(3) 63 61
Bencic will play Samsonova in QF match later today

Why are Coco and Pegula playing each other over and over again, and have never seen Azarenka playing Saba,Iga playing Linette,Svitolina playing Kustyuk, Tsurenko or Kalinina.Something is up and they want to break up the doubles pair

It is just how the draw is projected to the QFs in this case the projection was correct with Jess v Coco in Montreal, sometimes the projected top 8 players do not make it to the QFs.
Well Coco and Jess said yesterday they will scale back playing doubles together, I wonder if they are playing doubles together at Cincinnati? I will check later Personally speaking I dont think they have to play doubles in all the tournaments, of late when they get to the final of a doubles match, both have run out of gas.
They are on the players doubles list for Cincinnati

Coco struggling w/ playing her partner and friend. Serena had a hard time beating Vee when they first came on the tour. It took several beatings before Rena finally got mad and said no mas...

LOL. Most of those players you mentioned are borderline scrubs. They aren't going to make the QF very often to play anybody of note let alone their countrywoman.

Coco is still struggling w/ her timing on the groundies. Jess has rushed her a bit and given her a lot of different looks so she's not sure what's coming. It's actually a good tactic against the defensive skills of Coco. A gamplan I'm sure more people will copy.

Coco needs to Slow Down, she is rushing too much, she has to be more committed to her ground shots, like she has shown in her last couple of matches.

Jess continues mixing up her attack on Coco. I'm sure this is not something BG and team planned for, so she doesn't have a clear idea of how to turn it around. I think she's going to need some help from her doubs partner to win today. Help that I'm not sure she will get.

Well done Jess now lets see when you get to a SF you can go on with it you had a good game plan and executed well against Coco
Just a good stat for Jess, she has not lost this year when taking the opening set.
