she has to get out of her own way. I really hope she can do it. I fear if this goes 3, Iga will find her form

Swiatek and her serve have been missing in Montreal, she is struggling
Jess using good tactics going hard and flat down the middle, giving Iga not enough time to reset, also hard and flat into her fhand wing,
Truth be told MM, it's been missing for most of the year. Most players have not taken advantage of the 2nd serves on offer. Think back to all those close matches she turned around. If those players really took their opportunities, she wouldn't still be #1 right now

We are going 3, Iga turned around the TB 76(4) Jess? you were up 4-2 in the TB, you missed a good opportunity to win the match in SS
Jess your serve let you down when it was needed in that TB.

Just like Coco needed help from Jess yesterday to win the 3rd set. Turnabout is fair play. Jess now needs some donations from her opponent to win today. She was getting them earlier. I don't see Iga being as generous now

Jess had her chances, you have to take them, she started out with a good game plan against Iga, and then too man UFE cost her at crucial times in the match

If she can't turn this set around, this will keep happening until she addresses it. Most of it is mental. She actually has all the technical, athletic ability and skill to compete w/ these top players. Her main problem is belief and execution

Yep, I feel people underestimate Jess and her technical ability, she is a good athlete, also with her play in doubles has a good complete game, she has a good game plan against Iga she showed it in the 1st set, she has a good opportunity to make a WTA1000 final, in Montreal, HC suit her game

wow. Iga donated the MP on a miss. What a turnaround in the last 15 minutes of this match

She needed this win desperately. If she couldn't take advantage of a sub-par Iga, it was going to be a tough pill to swallow going forward

So I can't see Elena recovering physically enough to be able to beat Luidmila who she has a losing record against anyway. So likely it's Jess/Sam in in the final. And that will be a very competitive match that I'm afraid to call a winner.
