Bear in mind this isn't a first for AntiPusher. Rosol who never did any harm to anyone, got labelled a clown simply for beating Nadal by playing an amazing match. And yes Soderling is very much missed. Considering he dropped Murray to number 5 at the height of Soderling's best results I'd say that makes him a pretty damn good player. How many other players out there have convincingly beaten Nadal and Federer on clay and at RG? The answer? None.

Soderling is a much better and accomplished player than Rosol. Rosol is a bit of a despicable Clown but I see where Front is going with this one, they both scored huge upsets over a very jaded Rafa. Unlike some fans, every player that gets the best of Rafa on one given day doesnt go into Antipusher's rogue of Rafa's villains. However, Soldering and Rosol games are not as entertaining as Gulbis, JMDP or Djoker all of whom provides very difficult matchup problems for Rafa but I always pay respect to their games.

How was Nadal jaded after his first match at Wimbledon 2012 lol ? And at RG '09 lol? I thought stamina was one of his most redeeming qualities. Nadal steamrolled Hewitt the match before and just happened to meet the wrong guy at the wrong time in Soderling and was beaten fair and square. Maybe give Rosol some credit, no? Again, I see no reason to call him a clown, let alone a despicable one 'cos he beat your favourite player. I've nothing but respect for Soderling 'cos he beat Federer at RG 2010 when Fed was actually playing very well. Same respect should be given to Rosol who played absolutely incredible that day.

1) please, not the n-th edition of the old "injured or not" debate.
2) you're right though in that there's hardly a reason to call Rosol a (despicable) clown, even if his game isn't suited to your personal taste and preferences.

Jaded meaning in both instances Rafa suffered major injuries but lets be fair, the other player won the matches..Rosol behavior during that match was horrible, the spitting, the arm gestures/ taunting and etc. That's why I say he is a despicable clown who will get his clock clean by the Dirt Devil if they meet on Friday or Saturday. As for respecting other players, go back and reread my last post, I clearly state I do even if they defeat Rafa.I am fair but brutally honest.

^ it's true that there was an amount of taunting celebrations going on in that match. tbh, i'd almost forgotten *that* aspect of the match, the whole pace issues and the shoulder bump. but i got to say, for a journeyman/noone like Rosol, i guess it takes some hybris mindset to pull off an upset like that, so i personally wouldn't see him as despicable for the way he acted in that match. anyway, if he makes it to round three, we will see if he's more gracious in defeat.

Nadal was full of respect there too, bumping into him like a common street thug. There are many players who get animated waiting to return serve and there's nothing in the rule book to say this can't be done. As for bumping into your opponent like a complete scumbag that's definitely not allowed. So it's kinda hilarious that the innocent guy is the despicable clown here.

I read it and it doesn't seem any worse than Nadal's behaviour to me but eventhough physically bumping into your opponent like a thug is ridiculous, I still didn't call him a clown, just a scumbag and common thug because that's all that behaviour can be classed as.

If he does not return this year, then I believe he will not ever return to full time competitive tennis on the ATP Tour. he has been gone for too long, it seems.

Well that recent interview said this year is unlikely but maybe next year. I mean he's clearly inspired by guys like Haas doing so well and in this age of late bloomers (see Ferrer for amazingly consistent post 30 results) he still has time. Still hold out some hope, albeit minor at this stage.
