I'll be rooting for Ferrer this week! David is another of my favorites and he is also a fellow Prince racket user! He's another of the players I would love to see win a Grand Slam someday. But his window of opportunity is closing faster than Berdych's I'm afraid. Anyways, Go Ferrer!

I am rooting for Robredo in this Tourney. He has been playing good tennis since he came back
from injuries.

I considered doing that. However, Belluci himself lost in the 1st round just a week ago to
Klizan and that too right in his home country. So, not going to happen, most probably.

Belluci's only chance of upsetting Nadal is by knocking over his water bottles. :speechless:

Although he's undefeated versus players who have committed that act.

In fact, Bellucci is known for steping up against top players. He lost to Klizan in São Paulo, yes, but Klizan is a decent player at least, and he had MP's. Course Nadal is an another league, but here the stepping up factor comes in. Bellucci is an agressive player, specially when in the zone. If the Nadal who shows up is that one from the early AUSOPEN, then not only we migth have a match, but even an upset.

Actually Bellucci was Rafa's first opponent at Roland Garos in 2008 actually he gave Rafa a bit of a test, from memory one of the sets was 7-5.That was the year that Rafa took his clay court game to another level,he didnt drop a set on his way to the final, defeated Federer in 3 easy sets.

Actually if Nadal plays the 1st Round of Rio at the same level as his 1st Round of AO, I'd be very happy, because that was one of the sharpest first rounds I've ever seen Nadal play at a slam.

Nadal's 5 matches at the AO were a bit like his first clay event of the 2013 comeback, glimpses of top form and horrible form too.
The inconsistency of a comeback event (not including Doha because that was only one match) was unmistakeable.
Glad that is now over.

Just flipped the channels on my TV and Rio Open is on, De Bakker vs Clezar, a Brazilian I had never heard before tonight. And the Brazilian won set #1 7:5 but he is trailing 4:2 in the 2nd. It seems every week I hear about a "new" player.;)

Clezer made the final 8 for the WTF of the challenger tour last year.
That event which was won by Schwartzman. I remember he played not bad there.
