He can't seem to catch a break, but at this point, it is going to be hard to maintain form with all these start stops. If this is the reality of his body at this point, he might be able to claim another French, but I can't see him contending for too many slams at this point. It took him this long to find decent form after his last return from injury.

He missed a Slam a year from 2012-14, and now presumably in 2016, so that's four out of the last five years that he's missed at least one Slam. In the last seven Slams he's played in, he's only made the QF twice and not gone beyond that. So yeah, the clock is ticking. If everything aligns just right, he could still win a Slam, but his chances aren't better than 34-year old Roger, and may even be worse.

sad for Nadal's fans but he's been destroying his body for too many years : he should have been more careful with his work tool and play less, especially with a painful wrist
now I guess he'll be out for grass season ???

He should concentrate on being fit for the Olympics. He had no chance of winning Wimbledon anyway.

He won't play Wimbledon.

I don't see rafa playing Wimbledon either, if he has to have 2weeks of immobile trussed up wrist.

its just not going to happen. :( del potro and laura robson would agree.

He says he's going to try for Wimbledon, so we shall see.

He would be smart to try for the Olympics and the US Open his results at Wimbledon recently would suggest he skip it too. I mean if he is healthy then play, but I can't imagine having to immobilize his wrist for 2 weeks is going to give him enough time to practice and do what he needs to do.
