I just love carpet, it slows down the action like no other surface.

Here are the latest results from the quarter finals at the Bell Challenge in Quebec City:
Christina McHale over Polona Hercog 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-3
Eugenie Bouchard downed Kristina Mladenovic, 6-3, 6-2
Lucie Safarova beat Lauren Davis 6-2, 6-4
Marina Erakovic took care of Ajla Tomljanovic, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5
Semi finals will pit McHale vs Erakovic and Bouchard vs Safarova. Would be a perfect final to see Christina against Eugenie, would you agree on that account!!??:clap Le finale sur dimanche.

There must be tons of pressure on the young Canadian, just by making it into the semis.
It'll be a tall task, going against the veteran Czeck...

But never the less,

"GO GENIE"

:)

First match is about to start, McHale vs. Erakovic is on.

Update here.
#6 Marina Erakovic moves past American Christina McHale 6-4 6-3 in straight sets.

The other semis is on.

Genie takes the first set, the Canadian crowd is relieved...

Bethanie Mattek-Sands suffered a torn medial collateral ligament in her right knee.
She will be out for the rest of this year
Bethanie is hoping to rehabiliate her injury in time for the start of the 2014 season in Australia
Bad luck BMS ....I wish you a speedy recovery.

I am picking Lucie to win this but Marina has shown great strides the last few weeks, I am giving her 33% chance as I tend to forget Lucie's record in finals.
