Now now ruby, I didn't even notice you had that thread up until you mentioned here, can you believe it?

We can't have two threads, so I have asked the mods to merge the threads.

Thanks for starting it, it seems you had me beat to it!
:)

No problem Kiu, a merge just like in "Survivor" is a good idea! I gotta beat you once in awhile. Eugenie completed her 1st round match today, was held up due to a few personal issues with the sweet Canadian.
Eugenie Bouchard over Sofia Arvidsson 6-1, 2-6,7-6(1)
Petra Martic over Lucie Hradecka, 6-4, 7-6(1)
Andrea Hlavackova defeated Anastasia Rodionova 7-6(3), 5-7, 6-1
All these results are 1st round.
2nd Round matches,
Christina McHale downs Caroline Garcia, 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-3, good to see Christina playing better, she advances to the 1/4 finals of the event.
Polona Hercog over Julie Coin, 6-0,6-2
Will pop in some doubles results when the 1/4 finals are over. Bon soir, mes amis.

Reports indicate that Bethanie Mattek-Sands suffered a serious knee injury in her match today and had to retire in the third set against Ajla Tomljanovic, 5-7, 6-3, 1-4. Eugenie is making steady progress in her quest to become Canada's top female tennis player. Still a teen, she has the look,(you are right tossip) to gain huge endorsements and if she continues to develop her game, watch out! She is on my radar gun for an interview next year!
Results so far today:
Eugenie Bouchard downed Sesil Karatantcheva 7-6(2), 6-4
Lauren Davis over Andrea Hlavackova 6-1, 2-6, 6-3
Lucie Safarova beat Mirjana Lucie-Baroni, 7-6(4), 7-6(10)
All winners into the 1/4 finals. Tres bien Eugenie, Lauren et Lucie! Bon matches, demain!

Did you have your ACT together when you were 19?
I sure didn't!

Genie will be out of the bottle in less than 2 years!
:ras:..its obvious you just dont understand the context I used that statement.I meant her tennis act..I fully understand that she is getting her feet wet and with time she will be steady and able to really rapidly climb up the rankings. She is a talented youngster and making steady steps in the tennis world..:ras:

I always wanted to be associated with nobility Kiu, thank you for the compliment! One final score from Quebec City:
Kristina Mladenovic won over Petra Martic as Martic also had to retire, maybe the carpet surface is a challenge for some of the players.
The score, 6-3, 2-3(retired)
