AT last a break for Simona! She was spitting blood in the last month.
Players with NO POWER have no chance against her. Try soft hitting and you have no chance!
Just as I said on another thread.
5-0 easier than a practice match. :D :D

Opss... I forgot about Aga !! she has no more power than Simona.
Ok.. only ONE player can beat her with no power. :) Thats Aga.

But if she plays the same way as today (move Aga around and don't go for senseless winners), she will have a really good chance.

I am not sure about playing Aga even with Simona's level of today. I am not impressed too much about today.
Only newcomers are impressed... ;) She was lucky to have this type of player after very hard two matches against physically stronger players than her (Kanepi, Beck). It was a big relief not to fight power.
Aga has a special computer in her head and may beat Simona at her own style of game from the baseline.
I fear Aga, she will be much more dangerous than Errani.

And Petra is out in straights. She gives the break back and saves 3 MP's, but can't save the 4th. JJ moves on to the SF.
I knew Petra was no match for a HOT JJ, Petra was running on empty today.

Seems like the bakery was running the whole day, players handing out breadsticks and bagels all day, even JJ got into the act.

I dunno about the last match though, Yanina-Wagon is running at full speed, not many people joined so it's light too! We may just run over Aggie today!

This match was a GREAT exposure for Halep on prime time TV, Friday evening in Europe.
The match is dedicated to all her doubters and haters and FANS.
Success brings hate, not just love, thats how it goes. :)
People will be impressed because they dont know her well enough YET

What can you say about Petra?... She is not fit and it shows in her movement and execution. It must be her illness or she would have worked more on her fitness.

Comn Yanina! :D Simona prefers you more in the semi final ;)
I am scraed of the Aga computer. It may break Simo

A impressive display of tennis from Halep .....well done.

:)
We Simona fans are welcoming all the newcomers come lately ! ;)
Thats how it goes. :) Not everyone in this world got the Simonitis bug in 2011 like I did.
More wins bring more exposure, respect, and recognition.
If Navratilova didnt give Simona a chance to win this event, then how can I blame others for not seeing the light?... :)

I apologize if I start to be annoying and cocky. I am just happy and its a long run for few years...
A semi final in the premier 5 in Qatar is not a small matter for a new rising player. And she beat the ranked 7th in the world easily. Thats why I am a bit "overboard"..
Aga tomorrow will be another story. I hope Simo wont lose but I am not sure about that.

Tomorrow semi finals start at 5.30 local time. I think I will watch them ;)

I feel strange after the Simona win. Everyone is praising her and says how great she played, and I am scaling down the hype and the excitement. Usually I do the opposite and I make noise.
The reason is that I am used to Simona and I knew what she can do when things are going her way.
Today, things went her way big time. The rival fit Simona like a glove. She trained against power in the last 3 matches (svitolina, kanepi, beck) and today was a big relief for her. She could unleash her own style of play :)
Errani was like a sitting duck because she had no power in her shoots and allowed Simona pick her targets.

Si, Halep has a great game. You should not be too worried about her future. Barring serious injury, she will continue to move up the rankings and will win big tournaments. She needs luck against Aga though who is a very rare talent with the highest tenns IQ on tour.

I am worried, I will always be. Just one bad match is all it takes to lose confidence and start the slump. Thats true especially in the case of little players in size like Simona. Every match against big girls is like a roulette for her. She doesn't know what will happen, check her Kanepi match. Her career will never be easy going. She will always need to fight and grind because of her size.
She will have bad loses. This year her loses were NOT bad yet. The Paris lose is meaningless on rubber surface and the Babos lose (Hungary) made no damage, but she will lose important matches also. That's the life of a Tennis player.

P.S. Thank god that not all matches are played on rubber surface like in Paris. If that was the case then she wouldn't be top 10, maybe not even top 20... she is just human and not perfect.

I hope Simona doesnt quit the match today! :(
The Simona achilles became a more serious problem after the Errani match. She said it after the match. She may not play today or quit during the match. I cant see her playing in Dubai
She gains nothing there especially with Serena playing there, and she may be burnt out just before IW.
She will skip Dubai and get ready for IW. Makes sense to me.

What is Annacone doing commentating in L.A. for TTC? Shouldn't he be in Dubai helping Sloane get ready for next week?

Sloane will need to play Safarova, JJ, and...Serena! He is not "going there"... ;)
