What do you folks make of this? Obviously it's only one side, but is Bernard being treated harshly?

Sounds as though there is a lack of accountability within the hierarchy of Tennis Australia. You read through the Tomic complaints, you realize he's upset, but beyond that, it doesn't seem that his claims are baseless.

Yes exactly. Whenever I think of Tomic I just think slacker, waste of talent etc. But if what he says is true, it's not as simple as that. It would be tragic if Australian tennis manages to shoot themselves in the foot. I'm not sure any other country has as much top 20 potential coming thru right now

FB, the more I learned about the "father dynamic" in Tomic's life, the more his various episodes - outside of tennis as well as in match play - made sense.

Team Australia (and probably everyone else), thinks the dad is toxic, but the ties are too strong and Tomic won't cut them. The leaders are fed up with Tomic acting out and the dad acting up, so they try to communicate that.

There just has to be a more professional way of going about it.

Apparently, Sarah Tomic posted a photo of her Red Ferrari in instagram account raising eyebrows. Why would some one who can own a Ferrari want support form TA? On the other hand it is not clear whether she really owns it. But, she claims it is hers and the haters can go away.

Yeah, either way, these things should be means tested to some degree. It was a problem with some young British players, getting subsidised to live the happy life whacking tennis balls, but with no apparent incentive to improve. I would love to know the ratio of great players who came from privately funded, and nationally funded, tennis programs....
