The announcer said they were waiting for

confirmation. I think that would put it at 130mph

WTA didn't ratify it because the company that does official speed isn't in Tokyo. Tbh this has happened numerous times before. I believe if unofficial records were used Venus has gone above her record at least 3 times, and Lisicki would have the fastest serve in history. I don't know why the have it so half the events don't count anyway, seems stupid.
