Not sure, kind of realised he has to do lot of work to win , and simply refused
So you saw the match? I'm curious, too. I have seen him some the last few weeks, and he really seems to be having trouble finding his rhythm. But do you really think he gave up on that match? No injury issue?

I did not saw any signs of injury.
Like I wrote, I’m not sure, for me it looks like second set was just hanging in without significant effort.

Too bad. He's a guy with a decent game, but a bad head, it seems. So many looking for him to be the Next Big Thing.

I hope both Tsitsipas and Felix win tomorrow. I want to see Felix win his 1st title especially if it is against Tsitsipas.

Very true about Medvedev's mental game. Medvedev is the pure reciprocal of FAA. After Rafa destroyed him in Montreal at the Roger's Cup final, almost every match he had thereafter was like watching a timebomb ready to explode..His pre and post US Open series run was simply remarkable but there were a few matches where he should have been taken out in straight sets. IMO

Go back and rewatch the US final, Rafa let him back into the match but I have to give Medvedev's game credit..he is very talented and when he wants to play he is a top ten talent.

For the 1st time in their careers at an ATP tour event, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime will face each other for a title.

This will be FAA's fifth final (still has not won title yet) so hopefully 5th time's the charm.

Tsitsipas finally beat Felix the last time they met so he will try to continue the streak against him.

2 hours and 3 minutes, AP

It was during the Fall season last year. By that time, Felix was already feeling physically tired and Tsitsipas was gaining momentum so Tsitsipas was favored in that match. However, it still took two tiebreakers from Tsitsipas to finally beat Felix for the 1st time in his career. Tomorrow will be interesting...

I am still not sold on FAA. Despite the H2H, I think Tits will win this.

Considering that Felix was in another final a week ago, he already did a pretty good job by being able to each yet another one.
If he loses today, he loses to the higher ranked player, so I would not be upset.

And Stefanos wins in 2 sets.
Felix lost in 2 finals this month to 2 top 10 ranked players, no shame at all. The important thing is he plays well for the time being and defends his points he has earned last year.
