SFs: Berdych v. Hanescu, Gimeno-Traver v. Berlocq

Obviously, Berdy's idea by taking Wawrinka's place was to win the thing. Hanescu is good on clay, though I'd be surprised if he wins tomorrow. I'm hoping for a Gimeno-Traver win in his SF. Would give a nice boost to his ranking.

It made sense for Tomas to show up, he did not win a clay event since 2009 (Munich) and the event did not have a very strong field to begin with.
He still has only 9 events won in his whole career, so it be nice to round it up tomorrow. He will meet Berlocq and although Carlos plays well right now, Tomas is 3:0 against him and two of those wins were on clay.

If I am not mistaken, this is the only ATP 250 event that is mixed. Can any one
prove or disprove that?

Just checked the scores on tennis.com. What a hilarious WTA-esque score in this match lol. Congrats to Berlocq.

I haven't seen any of the match, but have been checking the scores. The second set looked to be quite a battle. Berdych evened it up a couple of types, but Berlocq kept going up a break and won it 7-5. Now I see he's serving for it at 5-0! What the heck happened in that match? Did anyone see it?
