Jennifer Capriati at the age of 38 was talking of a comeback...not sure how serious she was but these days you never know with the likes of Date-Krumm still playing matches. She mentioned next year as she couldn't make it this year.

Anyway, check out her twitter page. https://twitter.com/JenCapriati

"Was planning on my 10yr tennis come back at this years open the last grandslam match I played.. But it will have to wait 1 more yr."

"This dream and desire has been festering inside me for so long. It has never been my destiny to never walk on that court and play again."

Capriati derailed the Hingis dominance, when Capriati beat Hingis in TWO Australian Open Finals and a French Open Semi. Capriati's mixture of power and athleticism was scary :-/

I would be all for it. I mean I absolutely loved her matches against Serena. Now this is is a definition of rivalry. The tension, the close matches, the dislike!

After that Martina started taking cocaine and in view of that WTA banned her and then
they inducted her into hall of fame anyway. :nono

I think that all those comments that we always get about Capriati's and/or Hingis' drug use are just a bore of gigantic proportions. In truth your favourite rock/pop or movie star probably does more drugs in a week than Capriati and Hingis did in their entire lifes. And since they were recreational drugs, who cares anyway?

If Hingis can make a (doubles) slam final a year into her come-back, If Kimiko can compete with girls half of her age on a consistent basis, if Serena and Venus can be top 20 in their 30s...
Why not Jennifer?

It will be really tough on Jennifer. 38 years old is up there. She's been off the tour almost ten years. I don't think physically she can keep up w/ the rigors of the tour day in and day out.

I think the only issue for Jennifer really would be fitness. She wasn't the best at being consistent with it when she was on the tour, and at her age she would need to be consistent to be a contender.

Lawyer Bills might be mounting with multiple cases to deal with.

So true lol. No doubt it's the main reason she's even contemplating this.
