Yeah that makes sense, but thought you lived in LA and were a fan of them even aside from Kobe.

I do find a lot of Laker fans complaining about LeBron to be hilarious. You see on every social media thread the fans who can’t wait until he’s gone or they say they stopped watching as soon as he joined LA. The last time Kobe made the playoffs was 2012…LeBron brought winning basketball back to the NBA’s greatest franchise after 7 years of trash and they were also missing out on every big free agent because their pitch had become “nightlife and we have tradition”.

I thought it was a mistake for him to go there in 2018 and I think it has proven to be so. But he wanted to establish more of a life outside of basketball and figured being there would help his kids develop too, so those were big factors.

Trust me and you know in this politics of the sports world, Either you are a Kobe fan or a Shaq fan. I have had more disagreements about Kobe because Shaq fans blamed him for the breakup of the Lakers. Since, Shaq has admitted his role of what happened was probably even higher than Kobe's effect of the breakup.

That’s a bit unfair. Before the Robin issues which are valid, Shaq’s lack of seriousness was the triggering issue. I guarantee if Shaq worked half as hard as him he could have lived with it, but he’s not stupid. If they had stayed together and carried on winning the media would have continued to give Shaq FMVPs whether he deserved it or not. We’ve seen this with Steph, it still offends some people that such a small guy could be the top dog on a team. Most of the folks who gave Iggy MVP would take it back now if they were being honest. Sometimes the narrative is just too powerful and blinds their lying eyes

Darth that the other side , a lot of MJ fans had beef with Kobe legacy but i did not.. I'm in the same mindset with Jordan, if there was going to be a person that could legitimately challenge his legacy it would have been Kobe. Even before Kobe's passing Michael and Kobe had that mutual respect. Yet, I am not gonna go back and forth with you about how Kobe got there. I am too old to revisit and go down that rabbit hole again.

If Shaq trained half as hard as Kobe then he’d have been even more dominant, and that would have resulted in Kobe being much more of a second banana even during 2001-2004 when Kobe had become elite. IMO that’d have made him more likely to want to separate from Shaq. It should also be mentioned that Kobe chased Shaq out of town on the heels of Kobe’s disastrous finals vs the Pistons when they got destroyed as a heavy favorite in 5 games.

The 2015 MVP dang near went to LeBron, who was clearly the best player on the floor by a country mile. I think Steph having a couple bad games being defended by a tiny scrub in Delly was a factor, and Iggy provided a good amount of offense to go with being the only one with any success defending LeBron.

In Essence Jay Will is saying they are ruining the game for the NBA Jordan and post Dubs fans. All my kids would say, this is definitely not our daddy's league. I think the best thing for the NBA is for a near miracle and the Twolves not the Alien in the middle Spurs to win the championship. Antman is the closes thing that the Jordan and Kobe fans can align with. Too bad Halliburton torn his achilleas in my opinion because that is what the league would have preferred.

My Lawd!! that guy is the biggest obstacle since baby skinny Shaq..How the Twolves got back into the game and get the lead is totally remarkable. Anthony Edwards is absolutely brilliant.. Rudy offense was very much needed and athletic.. he save the game so far.

the knicks are playing fantastic defense and PG13 started the game as hot as depot stove but pulled a James harden for the rest of the game. the Knicks offense is relentless.. Give Mike Brown and Bronson credit.. they are outcoaching and executing Nick Nurse and the PROCESS
