Kieran, while I don't find Nadal boring (in general), this poster is far from the first one who I have seen make the "Nadull" joke.

It has a long history to it, based on his playing style. This guy didn't invent it.

And, indeed, the comparative dullness of Nadal's shotmaking to Federer's is why I said that, psychologically and aesthetically, Federer had a clear edge in the match yesterday up to 4-4. Both players knew that it was Federer's for the taking, but he cowered.

LOL, psychological edge for 8 games, during which Nadal held his serve 3 out of 4 times to love? Keep making up those narratives buddy...

What happened then? Federer blew break points and the psychological edge disappeared? You're literally the first person to ever talk about a psychological edge for Federer over Nadal, for any stretch of any match...

Nadal knows that Federer at his best is better than him, and he himself has said it. And no, it wasn't just his humility speaking. He knows that Federer fully on top of his game is much more "the greatest player of all time" than he is.

The aesthetic edge is simply a reality. When a player is hitting shots that you know are better than yours and that also look better than yours, then you have a sense that he SHOULD win if he maintains that level of play.

You can circumvent this by certain means (Nadal knows all about this, he is the master of winning when this is the case), but it doesn't change the reality of the "aesthetic edge", if you wish to call it that.
