Giraldo is a break up in the second, but Im not confident he'll close it out. He looks way too nervous, Rafa would crush him for it.

He looks like a cool customer to me bro. If he keeps on doing what he has been doing, this is his.

He's reacting anxious to points. But it's not really visible in his game. Murray is helping out though.

Muzza was flat as a pancake. Big props to Giraldo for 2 consecutive weeks of good play.

Some qualifier is beating Andy Murray.

Such is life in ATP when it comes to clay....

The some qualifier came with a lot of momentum in this event, unlike Murray who had no momentum all season long. What did you expect?

Looking into the near future, I wonder where Murray is going to find anything that resembles decent enough form to reach the second week at Wimbledon. I know, this is clay, not grass, but seriously, the guy is way off the pace.

And he swiftly needs to find a coach...

Murray is still struggling with post injury syndrome. Not necessarily physically, but it's clear something has been missing since his return. A bit of intensity, definitely a bit of movement, and even decision-making. Not everyone returns as seamlessly as Nadal did, so it's not exactly worrying for Murray's future. It might be worrying for the immediate future though, as Wimbledon is approaching and he only has clay to get himself into form...

Well, Rafa took a while to get his form, and wisely played some nondescript clay events to get some cheap and easy victories, but Andy is in a slight tailspin, because he also lost his coach. Imagine if Rafa split from uncle T just after his return, and wandered from event to event without a rudder. If he doesn't act soon, and improve also, he's going to be back to where he was before the Olympics...

Murray is never going to be a clay court phenom, but the difference in his form since winning Wimbledon is quite clear. And quite sad. Blame some of it on injury, but I think there's a mental component there as well at this point.

I am not saying he is nobody, but he is usually overrated on clay due to his high ranking.

Nobody has ever accused Andy of being good on clay. I think a coach will help but he will be a threat come Wimbledon regardless of how bad he looks the next month.
