Whew! Had me worried. So a win over Almagro on clay is still a good win? Not sure with this guy lately.

I have only watched the first set of Rafa's match and I have to say that was the worst played 6-1 won set by Rafa I have ever seen. Anybody who is somebody could have taken that set from Rafa . Maybe he got his mojo in the second set and played well, I don't know.

Almagro looked like he had more chances to break in the last set but Murray took advantage of the one he got. Too many errors from Magro.
Also, Murray just looks stiff overall. I wonder if it is the back or something else. He has to loosen up. I recommend yoga.

Dimi-Bird and Milos-Nishikori matches are tough in the next round.

Wasn't at home so I missed it but Nadal's a terrible match up for Monaco, especially on clay. Remember the RG match where he actually played quite well but won 2 games. Doesn't help that Monaco is not long back after a right wrist injury either.

^ :laydownlaughing True enough. Rather an effort on your part to excuse Pico, given that you didn't even watch the match. Anyway, Ralphie was better than all that. I said he wasn't vintage, by far, and it's not that Monaco was terrible. Nadal was better in the 2nd set, which Murat didn't see.

I may not have seen Andy for a while but I haven't missed those up and down matches. Just glad he won. Nice tribute to Bally (Baltacha). :(

Now murray has a fairly easy path to SF (No more Tsonga or Fed in this quarter).
All this means, he won't have time to think about hire a coach before FO (as per his
recent interview).

That was lovely. Frankly, I'm not surprised it was a tough match, and Almagro played some good tennis. Considering Murray just getting his clay legs back under him, and the opponent, it was a good win. He gets another good clay courter in Giraldo tomorrow, which will also be a test. I picked him to go through, but don't be surprised if it's another test of your nerves, Iona.

Watching Andy is ALWAYS a test of my nerves Moxie. He'll be the death of me one day.
