I think Murray was tired, that is why his serve let him down but also he was facing one of the best returners out there.

Yeah, I think all the players who did well in Rio have struggled at the USO. I don't expect Nishi to perform well in the semi.

And Luxilon, Lendl isn't going to leave Andy because of this defeat... :nono

Ivan is going back to the golf course. :D

For a while, sure, but he's not gonna bail on Andy now. he'd go down in my estimation if he did...

^ It wouldn't shock me if he bailed, not necessarily because of a bad loss to Nishikori here but I just sense he doesn't want to coach full time year after year. He did look even more pissed than normal though during that match. I think there was a sense for Murray that this might be his time to rack up a few majors and take over #1 even if it was for just a short time. That loss pretty much destroyed those plans.

Even great players in a peak year lose 10% of the time. I don't get the shock and awe at Andy losing to Kei, as if he lost to, I don't know, Steve Darcis or Sergiy Stakhovsky ;). Kei is a very good player.

It is not that he lost to Kei, is is elite, it is the fact he fell back into the same old MISERABLE patterns.

It is actually embarrassing for the sport. Everyone hates a spoiled whiner.

Lendl will bail not because of the loss, but because of the fact his charge acted like a LOSER.

He does not need the money, and he sure does not need the aggravation.

BTW, Lendl was quite the whiner himself..moaning and groaning about everything including the overhead blimp.
