Looking forward to the Haas vs. Kohlschreiber final. I like both guys, but I think I'll be pulling for Kohlschreiber. Head-to-head is 2-2 (all on grass).

I feel the same as you. I would be happier for Kohli to win!

I think Tommy takes this in 2 straight sets. Pk has a good game but beating Haas in this final will not be an easy task. Haas just does everything quite a bit better than PK does.

Haas has already gained points here from last year by making the final. Hope he wins it and gains even more. Want to see him back in the top 10. What a statement that would and hopefully will be at age 35. Given his dismal showing at the slams last year thanks to some tough draws he has many possible points to gain and top 10 is very much a possibility. I like Kohlschreiber as well but he cost Haas bigtime at Wimbledon last year so I think Tommy will be out for some major revenge.

It's great to see smaller tournaments like these getting attention due to their interesting fields. Very cool that it's going to be an all German final. I'm partial to Tommy, but may the best man win.

It's unfortunate that Tommy fell in three sets to Ferrer in that Miami SF after he gone through the trouble of taking out Djokovic and Simon. Murray probably would have beaten him in the final anyway, but I would have liked to have seen him reach a M1000 final this year. I know it's been said many times, but it's amazing to see what he's doing at 35 and after so many problems with injuries. I hope he can have a great run at Wimbledon (just not at the expense of Novak!).

Haas bought me when he was cheering for No1e in MC final, so I guess us No1e fans should stick together. However, my favourite German player is actually the Swabian.

btw, can anyone tell Kohlschreiber from Stakhovsky. I can't. Neither I can tell No1e's girfriend from Ferrer's wife?

Where did you see Ferrer's wife? You made me curious

Agreed on all counts! I like both players, though sentiment does incline one to Tommy.

There's some female in Ferrer's box occasionally. I don't know if she is wife or gf.

Here they are pictured together and they don't really look alike, but when they show Ferrer's one in the box I always think it is No1e's Jelena.

Missed it but delighted Haas won. More points gained for Tommy. Einfach klasse. Hopefully the great run will continue into the slams this year.

Did you all catch Tommy's reaction when he won? He fell straight to the ground. It obviously meant a lot to him. Great to see him with his daughter on court after the match too. Here's his reaction: http://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/480357_561145673908473_497056596_n.jpg

Sidenote: Tommy's German is really beautiful to the ear. He's from Hamburg, so of course. LOL.

#13 now. Auf geht's, Tommy!! So close to the top 10!

I saw the end of the match in replay. Tommy was clearly moved. I have to admit to being a little stunned he's at #13...in a good way. I rather thought the comeback was going to be mostly about being contented with some good wins, and rambling around in the mid-30s. Boy, was I wrong! Haas has come back to play high-quality tennis, with an eye to real results. Some of the younger players should take note of what motivation and commitment can do.

Broken's theory about midcarders must be working if 35yo can go back to top 10.

Moxie, I am just astonished how well Haas is moving..You are correct this is all due to motivation and commitment. Maybe some of us older players can take note also.. I sure have;)

That might be El Dude's theory, his "lost generation," I think. But yes, Mastoor, you take my point. Obviously, Tommy has a lot of lovely game, but I think some of the younger guys should look at themselves, then at these 30-something guys doing so well, and ask themselves: "Is the problem my game, or my belief?"

I read BS blog he has on the front page where he wrote about mid-carders before a post about clay season.
