@Moxie Since you had fun with my other film quiz & did so well on it I thought I'd ask you if you wanted to have a go before I post the answers because I'm planning on posting the answers today but if you want a go, I'll wait & give you a chance. I don't want to either spoil your fun or get "I wanted a go at that".

You're right. I'm sorry. There were 2 points for question 3. I didn't see 2 of the correct answer comments I wrote when I came to scoring it.

O.K. We can have fun & if anyone else wants a go they can. I'll give a week between giving my questions & the answers unless you do particularly well like you did last time & that will give people a chance. :0)

1. I've got the box set so should know some of these but although I felt tempted to look I don't cheat. I'll probably be kicking myself when you give the answers. I've only really watched them once when Dad bought them for me. I set a Calamity Jane question last time so that probably won't be 1 of them. My guesses are Don't sit under the apple tree, On moonlight bay, pillow talk & the man who knew nothing. You've really got me out of improvising mode & into thinking mode here.
2. I'm getting a picture of them together in a film but can't think of the name.
3. No idea
4. I'll hazard a guess at Robert de Niro
5. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Dalton, Pierce Brosnan & Daniel Craig
6. I should know this because unfortunately I heard of his passing recently but can't remember.
7. I've never seen them but know something about the rat pack in music so cheating by using my music knowledge instead I'll go for Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin & is it Frank Sinatra? I forget.
8. I haven't got a clue.
9. I haven't seen it.
10. Groundhog Day
11. Scrooged
12. I had to watch this a lot at school & my 1st ever part in a play was as a flower-seller singing Who will buy & gliding across the stage gracefully because before then I always passed voice test so had to join choir but they picked me out of the choir for this part. It's Oliver. The guy who played him also played in Black Beauty as little Joe. Was it Mark Lester?
13. Kate Blanchett & Bette Davis I think.
14. Is Meryl Streep 1 of them?

OK, here's the score and answers:

1. Pillow Talk is correct. (1 pt.) Also, Lover Come Back and Send Me No Flowers. (TBH, I wouldn't have got them all, either.)
2. Notorious (Hitchcock) and Indiscreet
3. The Fabulous Baker Boys (fun film!)
4. Correct for Godfather II. Are you sure you can't name who played him in Godfather I? Iconic actor starting in the 50s. "Make him an offer he can't refuse," was a famous line. Also, in the 50s, famous for shouting, "Stella!" (Aw go on, try.) (1 pt.)
5. 5 pts!
6. Michael Keaton. Others are: Clooney, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck. (And minor ones.)
7. 3 pts for the original movie; some in the remake were George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts
8. The Wiz
9. Man of La Mancha
10. 1 pt.
11. 1 pt.
12. 1 pt. Plus bonus for Mark Lester
13. 2 pts. (Also, Helen Mirren)
14. Again, Helen Mirren (Streep played Thatcher in a film, though)

15 points, unless you can come back to me on the actor who played Don Corleone in Godfather I. :)

I was right. I'm kicking myself for not knowing the other answers to #1. As soon as you told me the answers I thought "well, that definitely rings a bell." I've no idea for the actor in Godfather I. I'm kicking myself for answers to question 6 because as soon as you gave the answers I thought "Oh yes! They did play Batman.". I'm also kicking myself for question 7 because my Sister was rattling on about the film for weeks when it came out until she got it. You are too generous. You didn't ask that question so I shouldn't get credit for it. Damn, now you mention it, I recall Helen Mirren playing the Virgin Queen & mixed Helen Mirren & Meryl Streep up. I remember Meryl Streep in the iron lady.

No, I've drawn a blank for that. :0)

Marlon Brando was the original Vito Corleone. And I have no problem with giving extra points when additional info is given. It's a moveable feast. :)

Thank you very much. No, it doesn't ring a bell. I wouldn't have got that in a million years. Thank you very much for the answer. Your question just brought back good memories for me & my connection with Mark Lester being Oliver & also being little Joe in Black Beauty made me happy. I remember singing in English when the English teacher played Oliver as a change from watching the old film or reading the book. Good Memories! I still sing those songs now. :0)

These questions/clues are sort of inter-laced. If you can't get one, go to the one below it and it might give you the answer to the one above. I hope I've made the questions clear. I've bolded the questions to be answered, for clarity.
