Grand Slam Champion
Every generation has their good and bad players. Serena, Martina, Evert and Steffi or whoever can only play who is in front of them. I would say Serena has played her fair share of balanced players. She has played some amazing matches against Capriati (loved their rivalry, my favorite on the women's side because you really didn't know who would win), Venus, Seles, Hingis, Kuznetsova, Henin (loved their rivalry), Clijsters, Mauresmo (they have played some good matches too), Azarenka (a few good matches especially in the past two years). Serena even more so than Steffi and Martina has suffered more perplexing losses to random players than I would say Steffi and Martina did.
