My money is on Saba to win, the last couple of matches she has been 'on song' especially yesterday when she defeated Babs, or Elena, even though she is not playing her best at times, she finds a way to win, these courts suit her to a tee.

Well so far her results at Miami speak for themselves, I did mention Rybakina this court suits her to a tee,.Rybakina is in line to win the Sunshine Double, if she can win Miami

Just some updated news on Bianca Andreescu, she went to hospital for an MRI on her ankle last night and is awaiting results, when I read further news I will post, fingers cross it is not bad, she needs a break with all the injures she has had in her career.

Hopefully it's just a bad sprain and not ligament damage, even though a sprain may take longer to recover.

Pegula and Potapova were warming for their QF match when play was suspended, no play before 9.15pm

Jess had a good opportunity to go up 3 love up one bad UFE from Jess and Potapova hung on in her service game
Potapova keeps banging and looking at her racquet, as if it is the racqets fault she is making UFE, I suggest she changes to a different racquet, maybe the strings are too tight, it is night time and conditions are heavier, also I am hearing the same sounds that Pova used to make after hitting her shots, that is scary lol! if she keeps it up and it gets louder I will have to Mute, like I did when Pova played

Wasted opportunity from Jess too many UFE on her fhand wing and Potapova breaks and back on serve, Jess could have been 4 love up.

Potapova has turned this 1st set around, won 5 games in a row leads 5-2, her serve has been rock solid, has shown good defense and has great wheels around the court
Jess has changed her racquet, though her fhand wing has been her down fall, needs to address, also needs to find more depth on her shots, Potapova standing firm on the baseline and moves inside the court, anything short she puts away

Hello there is a good fhand from Jess, I knew it was hiding somewhere, also her shots are much deeper now and she breaks Potapova serving for the 1st set 5-3 back on serve now, Jess to serve at 4-5

Potapova wins the 1st set 64, really turned around the match, very aggressive mind set, she has to watch her margins at time, needs to stay aggressive with control

Potapova with some good high spin lobs to Pegula and Pegula not handling them at all, Potapvoa's bhand again is on show, as she gets the break in the opening service game of the 2nd set, Jess gets the break back straight away, she has to keep good depth on her her shots, if not Potapova will make her pay

Pegula gets a break, better depth on her shots, she consolidates the break and leads 4-2, Jess stop with the BH slice to Potapova she is handling it with ease,
Jess breaks for the win, 6-3 2nd set, Potapova with a poor service game, going 3 sets, just like their recent match at IW which also went to 3 sets with Pegula winning
The first set was all Potapova directing traffic, Jess was scratchy, Jess found her depth better in the 2nd set.

Jess is now the one directing traffic in the 3rd set and making it a more physical battle moving Potapova around the court, depth is also there and she gets the break in the first game of the 3rd set
Why do players do this to me,when I just finished praising Pegula,, Potapova breaks back lol! and we are back on serve
Note to myself It aint over till the fat lady sings lol!

Jess is so dense. She just played this girl last week and yet she acts like she doesn't know what the game plan should be. Just like Pova, move that screamer around until you open up the court and then take the point.

Jess also has made to many UFE in this match, especially in the final set when it mattered, she is still lucky she is alive in this match, some brain fail shot selections and she cannot hit a over head if her life depended on it lol! even smashes have found the net, thank goodness she can still hit a drive volley
