Hi,

Who is keen for a friendly betting competition during Miami Open ? Everyone can join, we all start with a virtual betting budget of 100$. Everyday I will post a list of matches with the associated odds. For those who are not familiar with betting and odds, here a post that explains everything.

Any question, just ask me, I am happy to help.

Are you ready ?

Ready guys ? Day #1

upload_2016-3-23_16-11-59.png

Exciting isn't it :) ? Hard to make a pick.

Youzhny - Gulbis is a very risky one, could really go both way. Note that Youzhny was ill last week and had to retired from Indian Wells. However,Gulbis only won one match in a main draw this season.
Dodig - Monaco may be interesting. Odds are high form Monaco as he only won one match this season after his 6 months break. However his last match in Indian Wells was promising, may be more even than the odds say.

I will bet 5 $ on Ram (1.68) that the only one on which I can pretend to be successful.

I'll put $5 each on Fritz, Frantangelo and Zverev.

I won't give you a hard time, but DelPotro played today. Might be a time difference issue. Anyway, good news is that he won! Game on with Federer.

Sorry Moxie. My post was not clear, I should not have copied/pasted the first column it was confusing. Each day I am posting the day matches' list.
Will try to be clearer next time. Hope you don't miss this bet.

Today's results, as before I don't take into account incomplete matches, so Monaco-Dodig is void. Lucky you britbox, Dodig retired 5-0 in the third...

@britbox = +2.2 + 3 + 100 = 105.2 $ (2/2)
@Moxie = +1.7 + 0.55 - 5 + 100 = 97.25 $ (2/3)
@Bert = +3.4 +100 = 103.4 $ (1/1)

Attaboy Dodig!

I'd generally get pissed off with a player retiring when 5-0 down in the third... but I'll make an exception for Mr Dodig in this case. :)

Ha! Exactly! Just after you went a bit high minded on the issue a couple of weeks back. But, when fake money is on the line...well. :lol3: @Bert...no worries about the mix-up. It is, after all, fake money. We're just having a laugh here. And it is fun. I appreciate your efforts.:pompoms:

Men Draw - Day #2
upload_2016-3-24_18-31-46.png

Interesting facts :
Seppi-Young and Paul-Smyczek were Indian Wells 1R and Q-2R respectively. Seppi and Smyczek won but both went in 3 tight sets.
Baker will play his 3rd match since the start of the season and also his 3rd match since UsOpen 2013 (defeat in 4 against Hewitt). Last time he played in Miami was in 2004. Funny to note that he leads 1-0 against Kukushkin (2012). Really like the story of this guy, but I think he will really struggle against Kukushkin. He had a wild card for Australian Open and lost in 4 sets against Bolleli (4 tie-breaks), we never know :)

I will bet 10$ on Coric and 5$ on Baghdatis.

Real quick, as it's about to start: $10 on Coric and $10 on Mahut.

Regret that Chung bet - he's a flake, won't be betting on him again anytime in a hurry. Mahut folded like a deck chair in his match too, which surprised me a little.

Early doors, and sort of hard to know who to pick. I still think Chung has a future. I took Mahut on a lark. And Coric disappointed. Big bet tomorrow...will anyone dare on Federer v. Del Potro? (Well, BB will.)
