Woz will win over Lucie. Pliskova gets revenge over Baroni for AO.

I'm 2 for 2 today. We'll see how tomorrow goes. I think Venus will have trouble w/ Kerber. Angie lifts her game any time she plays a Williams. Halep/Konta is a toss-up, but I'll go w/ Simona in 3.

Halep should have won that match vs Konta today..she really needs to since a sports psychologist to strengthen her mental game before she becomes another Zvonareva :nono

Vee is playing fantastic against Kerber..

You think so? I thought he looked a bit thin.

KS..i think Richard was experiencing some health challenges last year or the year before. It was good to see him back in the stand.. I don't know if any of you ever met him but he is about as down to earth as a person can be.. I recalled years ago a group of us from the Chi sat in the stands with him during the Miami Open right afterwards the movie Titanic came out.,afterwards a few sets, he told us that the producers of the movie was having some funding issues and they approached him to invest in that film project :shy:..We just looked at him and smile.

I didn't know he was ill. That would explain why he hasn't been around much. I'm glad he is better

Didn't fair so well yesterday. 0-2. I'm actually happy I was wrong about Venus. She played well and kept the pressure on Kerbie's weak serves. She'll need to be as aggressive against Konta and live at the net to have any chance. Simona has turned into a modern day Stosur. She chokes at given turn. It's unthinkable that she has one of the best coaches (male or female) and she cannot get out of her own way.

Venus's ground strokes are cleaner and crisper than at this point in her career 7 years ago.. I know she is really up against Mother Nature ( men call it Father Time) , her immune system disorder and baby Sis..I will admit it, these days I find myself pulling for Venus if she is playing lil Sis, a Kerber or anyone..her tennis journey is so admirable.:clap
