I know, but they're still going after some pretty unmakable winners.

Maris loses/Serena wins five games in a row, after Maria was up 4-1. Pitiful, and thoroughly predictable.

One of them is a ball basher with no B game so that's not surprising.

Serena up a set, 4 consecutive shots going out from dominatrix.

BTW, does any one know whether people have to pay rent when occupying another's head?

Get rid of coaching in WTA please. What an embarrassment. Figure out how to win by yourself.

As much as I despise it as well, I think it's here to stay. Watch, they'll be looking for a way to add it in the slams.

Gonna be a total joke if they do that although when you think of it, slams for women's tennis are no different than any other event due to the best of 3 format on everything.

That everything is best-of-3 isn't a factor. This will be a matter of the ITF vs. the WTA.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Serena wins this set 6-2.

Yeah, I was thinking blowout second set too. It's similar to their 2013 match here although Sharapova won the first set that time. But if she can't beat Serena serving as poorly as she has been then she never will.

At least Mary Jo Fernandez is referring to it as a "match up" instead of a rivalry.

Serena probably needed that point to fire her up.

This actually reminds me of the Brisbane match. Serena's serve was terrible. Something like 9 or 10 DF's and Maria had breaks and leads in both sets and went out in straights.

Maria's Berdych-esque, low Earth orbit ball toss doesn't help matters. She already has enough problems with her serve. Why make things worse?

^ Yeah and Cibulkova's is just as high. It's like Sharapova, Cibulkova and Berdych all mirrored their ball toss after Steffi Graf.

That's the sort of serving we normally see from Serena. 116 and 119mph aces. The men would be proud of those.
