ahh remember this !!! The '87 Key Biscane final where Mecir upset Lendl in the final in more ways than one!

There was a sarcasim response by Miloslav Mecir to fellow countryman Lendl who had been complaining about towels on the side of the court bothering him. Ivan ordered the ball kids to get them removed. Mecir must've seen it as a stalling tactic and then mocks Lendl.

This was a gift to his countryman! Lendl usually destroyed "The Big Cat" back in the day as it was necessary to play "ugly tennis" to overcome Mecir; he moved so well around the court! Ivan was paying Miloslav back for upsetting Becker at the 1986 USO in the 5 set SF, allowing him to take his 3rd straight Title in Flushing!
