After two hours and 41 min, Nishikori finally beats Querrey 5-7, 7-6(5), 7-6(5). What a match. Querrey had a chance when he led 4-2 in the final tie break but a doublefault at 4-5 really hurt him. Great to see both of my favorite players in different finals this weekend! Sure doesn't happen often!

I know this is a small tournament and Americans made up like a third of the field, but just to see these guys win matches is encouraging.
And yet none of them could find their way to the final. Such is the state of US men's tennis. :cover

It is rather rare when the top 2 seeds play the final, but this event is one of those.
