Looks like, it is time for Kei to get another Guitar!

looking to the draw, aside Kei, there only two other top 50 players in the field:
Johnson and Young. Clearly some opportunities here for the lower ranked guys.

It might be a weak field by ATP standards, but we will be able to analyze the future of the American tennis here, with 5 promising teenagers in the field:

3 WC Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe and 2 players qualified for the main draw, Michael Mmoh, Jared Donaldson (in the pic. from left to right in this order)

2 of the 5 American teenagers fell last night in R1:
Donaldson lost in 2 sets to Nishioka and
F. Tiafoe was defeated in a tough 3 setter by Ryan Harrison: 7-6, 6-7, 4-6.

In the battle of the 18y olds, Taylor Fritz defeated Micahel Mmoh: 6-3, 6-4.
Tommy Paul lost in 3 sets to Becker.
The lone teenager left, Fritz will meet second seed Steve Johnson next.

My Boy Taylor Fritz scores his biggest win of his career, first top 30 scalp:
He upsets second seed S. Johnson: 7-6, 7-6

Perhaps the egg calms you down, helps you to focus and be more clutch :p

Because those are features Taylor has, the ability to save BP, be composed and psuh through instead of getting rattled.
Novak has them too, right?

Just finished watching first Taylor Fritz match in the QF at Memphis against Becker.
Man, I am exhausted, it was a rollercoaster, but all is good, the Fritz train marches on, after the first QF in an ATP event, tomorrow he will play in his first SF right away.
Final score: 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (5).
Once again, this young guy is super clutch, he was broken at 5 all in the 3 set, then when Becker served for the match he broke right back to force the decisive TB.
The egg work just fine:snicker

I have not personally watched this guy. But am tempted to join the bandwagon.

Today SF;

Berankis - Fritz
Nishikori - Querrey

For Berankis would be his second final in his carer if he wins, first in LA in 2012, Fritz is in an unchartered territory.
Would be nice if Fritzy wins one more match, but I am already happy with what he has done.
In the second match, Kei should win in normal conditions.

The court at Memphis seems nice and fast. Liking the pace between Berankis and Fritz here and would love to see Federer v Djokovic on this court.

Berankis was one of my favorite young players a few years ago. His lack of size and a series of injuries have kept him back. His a game fighter though.

Yeah I like him too. Was checking his stats and they say he's 5' 9" but looks smaller than that. He hits and serves nice and hard for his size. He's back in this now after breaking back just there.
