Steffi is one of my all time favorite players,gosh how time flies with Steffi turning 51 years young.Loved that final,I was never a fan of Hingis,a talented player,a bad sportsperson,she acted like a 'spoilt brat at times'.

Happy Belated Birthday to her!

When I was in Middle School & learning tennis Dad got me watching as he was a perfectionist & didn't like the way I got taught to serve. He said he'd teach me & he did. He said I had to watch & learn. Steffi Graf was my favourite female tennis player. (I haven't said anything before because I know what I'm about to say might put me in the firing line.) The most memorable female tennis match in my opinion was the Monica Seles v. Steffi Graf match. I thought it was disgusting that Monica got stabbed, wondered what security was doing & why they hadn't prevented people from having knives in the stadium in the first place, hoped Monica was going to be o.k. & thought it was a shame because she seemed to be a brilliant player & I thought she had a brilliant career ahead of her. I watched men's tennis too. I liked Andre Agassi best. Dad liked John McEnroe.

You're welcome. 1992 would fit the year as I remember being 10 at the time. Dad was trying to get me out of the house & my head out of books at the time.

Unfortunately Dad is no longer with us. Gosh! I was 2 then.
