February is almost over. We will have everyone assembling in one place
soon for March Madness ATP 1000 tournaments.

I was wondering which match-up folks are waiting to see. I am putting
what I think as top 4 candidates out there. Vote for one of them or vote
for other. If you vote for other, mention your dream match-up in a post.

1. Rafa vs. Andy: Has not taken place since Andy became a Man.
Will his wows against Rafa continue or will there
be a turn in this rivalry?

2. Rafa vs. Stan: With so much debate as to whether Stan really
won against Rafa or Rafa lost due to injury, this
match-up would be worth watching and will be
on the radar of everyone. My guess would be
that Stan will lose, but play good and take
one set. In the long term, Stan will
probably continue to provide tough
matches to Rafa winning about say 1/3rd to
1/2 of future matches between them.

3. Stan vs. Fed: Can the swiss #1 beat Swiss #2? For that
reason alone worth watching. My guess
would be that the numbers would not
matter in this case.

4. Rafa vs. Novak: How can I leave it world #1 vs. world #2 match up?
Can Novak continue his winning ways that he displayed
last fall? Also, it may give some indication as to
what might happen at FO, which Novak wants dearly.

I give you all three weeks time to vote.

I am leaving out Rafa vs. Fed for obvious reasons. I am leaving out
Novak vs. Andy as this is one of the most boring top-level match-ups
(even if the result is unpredictable).

I'm the "Add Your Own Option" guy. F3 vs. Dr. Youzhny...because they're my phaves. Iph we're sticking with the powerhouses, then...Pholks vs. Djokovic at the AO and FO and Pholks vs. Murray at Wimbledon and the US Open.

I don't know whether there is a real way to do "add your own option" where a
participant can actually add an option to the poll and vote. If so, I would appreciate
if one of the mods can make it a real AYOO. Right now, despite the name it is
merely an "other" option.

Looking forward to seeing the renewed Fed against Djokovic actually, especially seeing as Novak has pretty much lost his mojo and Fed's has come back a lot since last year so it'll be interesting.

Yep. that would be interesting. The battle of RR vs. DD. Rejuvenated Roger vs. Deflated Djokovic.

I like this answer, given that Roger handed Novak what was probably his most significant loss during his amazing 2011 run. (I.e., kept him from the final at RG.) I'm keen to see Rafa and Andy play, as a fan of both. I'll always be ready for a battle when Nadal and Djokovic play, which I put in the plus-column. TBH, I'm not that worried about Wawrinka the next time he plays Nadal, but it will be interesting.

I second that, Broken. Indian Wells or Miami hopefully we may get to see that and it's probably a lot better for Murray that it's best of 3 and not best of 5 at this stage till he gets more match tough.

From the above reply and some other replies, I see that my initial posting is not clear. I am interested in knowing the match-up between two top 10 players in Indian Wells or Miami, that you are eagerly waiting to see.

Add Haas v Nadal to that list for me. Assuming Tommy plays well and comes in rested and without shoulder problems it could be very entertaining.

Bring Andy out for a qf wake-up.

Next, Stan comes out for his ritual bearding. Ouch!

Next, Nole in the final sees Nadal defend a title off clay for the first time ever.

All this, at IW.

In Miami, I want Nole v Stan, followed by Nole v Roger.

Rafa v JJ...

Nice choices there, Kieran. I'm still not happy with JJ though. A lot of wasted potential so far and his back is already giving quite a bit of trouble at a young age which isn't good either.

I am interested in watching Andy vs. Rafa, but I hope it doesn't happen until Andy has played back into form.

You don't want them to play each other until 2016.
