Sharapova was the top earning female athlete for 11 consecutive years..earning more than 235 million dollars. . WOW..You talk about someone who took advantage of being who she was..Bravo to her. For her to call it a career must as someone mentioned, it's must be some more future allegations coming against her..

I read an article which said that for someone of her stature, it is amazing that nobody even talks about her retirement. So true. It was a rather quite retirement without much wishes from various other WTA or ATP players and admins.

What I'll remember most about Sharapova is how her doping case showed what a joke Drug enforcement is in this sport.

She got banned for doping , thereby her ranking justifiably dropped like a rock; so the tennis administrators WC’d her into their tournaments as soon as she returned.
