Come on Edmund! A British win would be nice. We don't get many.Only 2 seeds made the QF:

There is a thread for Houston.I'm not going to start a new thread for Houston, but Kyrgios and Fratangelo are playing some speed tennis out there. Bjorn won the first, but Nick has been riding rough-shod ever since.
You keep track of the eye candy looking like guys around, don't you?Edmund through to the finals. I was torn between Isabelle's favorite and Ann's. Now, whatever you think of Sousa's and Andújar's tennis, this is a "good-looking" match.
Those two guys are pretty hard to miss. I'm glad to see Pablo back, as well. I read he's had 3 surgeries. And he's into the final tomorrow. You keep track of the eye candy looking like guys around, don't you?
I am happy to see Pablo back playing well after all he's been through.
I knew he'd won his first two in Casablanca. Didn't realize it was the same event. He did also win Gstaad in 2014.Worth to mention that Pablo Andujar won this ecent, when it was held in Casablanca twice, his only titles so far.
I know the world of sport is very competitive but sometimes the unexpected happens. Everyone has to start somewhere. Sometimes the supposedly best players lose out to up-and-coming's & the up-and-coming's sometimes work very hard & learn from their experiences & mistakes & those of people better & more experienced than them & win the best players & sometimes the best players push themselves too hard & strain themselves & at other times they don't. That's how they learn & improve. The best players won't always be the best players. They get older & not as fit as they used to be like we all do.And speaking of jumping in the rankings: Pablo was ranked 598 two weeks ago. He's up 150 places in the live rankings by making this final, and he'll get into the 150s with a win. That's some nice ground made up since his injury layoff, and going into the clay season. Hopefully takes it easy and picks some smart tournaments.

He lost to Rafa in Rio 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10.) I'm not sure how you would call that an "epic" choke, but you and Front esp. seem to keep a catalogue in your heads of Rafa's losses or tight matches, so you'll probably enlighten me. Surely, Andújar had a shot a Rafa in that match, but he's the lesser player, particularly on clay. It's not unheard of for a great player to get in trouble in a match, then right the ship.Isn't this Pablo the guy who choked in an epic manner against Rafa in South America a few years ago? I know it is a Pablo, but there are three of them, just making sure that I am not mixing them up.

It always rather amuses me that some Feddies have an elephant-like memory of matches they think Rafa should have lost. Especially in a tournament that you may not otherwise have had a lot of interest in. And always the other guy "choked." You must have been picking over that one like a scab to remember it so well. I watched it, too. I remember Andújar played well and that Rafa was in danger. Not much else.Come on, it is not that Pablo had just one shot at Rafa in that match. Pablo was getting several chances to beat Rafa in that match. Unfortunately, he managed to butcher all of them. That is why it is an epic choke.
Yes, we have heard of great players getting in trouble and then righting the ship. That is not what happened in that match. Rafa never righted the ship. Pablo choked it away.
Of course Pablo is a lesser player. But, that does not mean he did not choke it away.
