I've heard that they played everyone's goodbye message to Hewitt, except No1e's. Sad.

Weird, why?

No one seem to understand, but many fans noticed many weird thing regarding how they treat No1e this year. No1e doesn't deserve that especially as someone who won the slam more times than anyone else in open era.

Not looking to start a fire but here goes: http://showlegend.tumblr.com/post/137644525409/the-buzzfeed-15-exposed Note that the surprising name on the list, Hewitt, has another article linked that shows how the methods used to “flag” him in this might not be accurate.

Well, statistics is something that I know very well, and I can assure you that either these guys have nothing, or they have a real inability to explain what they're doing. I stick with the first choice.

Edit: Oh, and I saw the end of Hewitt's match and yes, they did not show Djokovic's words (but you can see them on the ATP site). On the video, he is the last one to talk (makes sense, he is the #1), maybe somebody screwed up and pressed stop before the time.

I have a link to the names from a Swedish publication dating to 2011. Hewitt's name is not on it.  I'll post on the thread about the controversy, so as not to detract from the thread.

Thought it was a beautiful perfect classy touching farewell by Hewitt - he seemed especially touched by Rafa's kind words about how special Hewitt's example has always been for him - Fed and Andy also had beautiful words too - Just a truly awesome unforgettable moment created by one of the gargantuan figures in the history of tennis - the one and only Lleyton Hewitt --

Very strange that they deleted Djokovic's tribute to Hewitt  and included Nick's - it surely was an intentional delete but we can only speculate about why - perhaps there are some lingering troubles between Hewitt and Djok - Hewitt has spoken publicly and very openly about his high regards for Fed Andy and Rafa but I can't recall him ever saluting Djokovic in the same way -

The younger Hewitt definitely rubbed several players the wrong way in earlier years - Coria Corretja Chela Roddick Fed etc and even michael Russell who declined to talk about "Facing Hewitt" for my book adding that "i have a history with Lleyton - I will talk about anything but him"  - I would guess Hewitt and Djokovic might have had a conflict several years ago -

Interesting stuff @scoop - I guess it must have been intentional.

The tribute videos are embedded on this page, including Novaks:

As far as I know there is nothing bad between Nole and Rusty, they may have not been best of friends at the beginning but their relationship involved nicely in the last 5-6 years..  They played Hopman cup in 2011 at the same time.   A friend of mine from Australia said that Rusty sometimes does commentary for the Australian TV during AO and he had nothing but nice things to say about Nole.

This is what happened:

Tennis Australia apologised for the snub, attributing it to a “production error.”

“Due to a production error unfortunately the wrong video was shown on the night. Novak’s message was recorded on a different day to the other players so there were a couple of versions made. The full version, which included Novak, went up online last night and we’ve apologised to Novak’s team,” a representative told news.com.au.

All the best to Lleyton, it was nice to see his family, his kids take in the farewell festivities.
